The evening recognised Secondary students for excellence in Quran memorisation and recitation, as well as Best Azan Performance and Best Khutbah or Short Speech. Students also contributed several special presentations throughout the evening, including a Nasheed performed by students from ILEAD, our exclusive Diploma of Islamic Leadership pathway.

While the awards recognised outstanding individual achievements, the evening was also a celebration of every Secondary student who participated in this year’s Quran Competition. Every student who dedicates time to studying the Holy Quran is strengthening a connection that we hope will remain with them throughout their lives.

A defining moment of the evening was the presentation of the College Hafiz Award, the most prestigious honour of the night. Nine Secondary students received this exceptional recognition after completing the memorisation of the entire Holy Quran.

The title Hafiz, meaning guardian or preserver, is given to someone who has memorised the entire Holy Quran in its original Arabic. Committing every Surah and verse to memory is an extraordinary achievement requiring sustained study, continual revision and a deep love for the words of Allah (SWT).

Completing the memorisation of the Holy Quran is not the end of this journey. It carries a lifelong responsibility to preserve its words and live by its guidance.

Having nine Secondary students reach this remarkable milestone is an achievement of great significance for our College. We also acknowledge the families who supported them and the teachers who carefully guided their memorisation.

We extend our sincere congratulations to all our Secondary Quran Competition winners, participants and Hafiz Award recipients. May Allah (SWT) preserve the Holy Quran in their hearts, strengthen their connection with His words and reward everyone who has supported them along the way.

“But this Quran is a set of clear revelations preserved in the hearts of those gifted with knowledge.” – Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:49
