Another active term in the library with world cup day in week 1, a great way to start. The library celebrated with the students, obtaining a full set of new football stars books, which flew off the shelves by the end of recess! Especially popular amongst the year 4 and 5 boys.

Sunnah 2 Smile was another highlight; our craft club used their creative talents to put together a beautiful display, emphasizing the meaning behind the special day.

As we move through the year, it is a continued delight to see students from all levels using the space to catch up on quite reading, connecting with friends, and helping with library tasks.

We look forward to another successful term ahead.

Keep reading & have a wonderful break,

From the Secondary Library Team

It has been another busy and exciting term in the Secondary Library, with plenty happening both on and beyond our bookshelves.

Our Year 10 Work Experience students had the opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of the library, assisting with a range of tasks and developing valuable workplace skills along the way. It was wonderful to see students take on responsibilities, show initiative, and gain an understanding of what happens behind the scenes in a busy school library.

We are also excited to highlight ICOM READS, our Library magazine, which celebrates reading and provides another way for our students to engage with books and the wider Library community.

Our collection continues to grow with some exciting new titles and series recently added to the library. Students can now discover Tiger Daughter, the Tariq Twins books, the popular Unico series, and the Racing Legends series, including a title featuring Lewis Hamilton. With everything from graphic novels and adventure to inspiring sporting stories, there is something to capture a wide range of interests.

We encourage families to ask their children what they are currently reading and to remind them that there is always something new to discover in the library.

The library continues to be a place where students can read, discover, create and connect. We look forward to welcoming students into the library throughout the term and sharing many more exciting books, programs and opportunities with our ICOM community.
