Divisions

  • Secondary Years 7 – 12 
  • Our school would initially be competing against other Australian schools of the same level. These are known as our ‘qualifying’ competitions. 
  • The top-ranking schools at the qualifying events to enter the State Finals competition held later in the year. The top-ranking schools at the State final competition are then invited to the National Finals.

Qualification to the State Finals

  • At the end of the competition, the top-ranking school from each state will qualify for their respective State Finals.
  • If your school places second in your state at a qualifying competition and the team in 1st place has already qualified for the State Finals, then your school also qualifies for the State Finals, and 10 players can be registered for the Finals.
  • Winning more than one qualifying competition allows more players to be registered at the State Finals according to the follows rules:
    • 1 Win/Ranked First = 10 players can be registered for the State Finals
    • 2 Wins/Ranked First = 14 players can be registered for the State Finals
    • 3 Wins/Ranked First = 18 players can be registered for the State Finals
    • 4 Wins/Ranked First = 20 players can be registered for the State Finals (maximum)

ONLINE: $20 per player per event (incl. GST)

Games

All players play 7 games of 6 min + 4 sec per player, regardless of win or lose.

 

Prize

For onsite competitions we award the top players of the top-ranking teams, as well as top ranking individual players. The winning team will also receive a team award that is awarded to the school.

 

All competitors at our competitions also receive a personalized digital certificate. To learn more about our certificates.
