The start of term for majority of Food Studies classes started with a recap of Safety and Hygiene and the importance of these two elements and why we need them in the Food Studies Kitchen. Year 10, ventured off into The Design Process, learning about how Food Products are created, and the obstacles companies go through to get there. From this we learnt a little about Food Photography and how we can enhance our dishes with using an iPhone as a camera (see below for some examples of students work).

Year 9 / 10 - Food Hazards

For Years 9 and 10 Food Studies we started the year off with a fun activity, where students got into groups and created a common food safety/hygiene hazard that some individuals might find themselves doing from time to time. From this they used a blackboard to create their masterpiece (see below for examples of students work).
