Carnival Sports
House Swimming Hollows House Victorious
On 10th February we all headed out to the Boroondara Sports Complex for our House Swimming Carnival. The sun was shining and the conditions were perfect for our whole school event. Swimming Heats were filled with competitors, our novelty events were swum with enthusiasm and the wading pool activities were exciting with each year level being given the opportunity to participate in some fun activities which were run by our Student Leaders. As always the diving pool provided a great attraction with both the diving and Big Splash events. However, it was the return of the ‘House Swim’ that was the talking point for the day, with each House given 20 mins and 2 swimming lanes to get as many students down the 50 metre pool as many times as they could to earn points for their house. In terms of the Champion House for the day, while Hollows easily led for the early part the final results were very close;
1st Hollows- 2,209 Points
2nd Freeman – 2,129 Points
3rd Dunlop – 1,969 Points
4th Melba – 1,875 Points
Congratulations to the following students who were our Age Champions for the event;
