GRADE 6 CAMP - WARATAH BAY

Grade 6 students were excited to go to Waratah Bay as part of our camping program.

We had lots of fun participating in various activities and it was a great experience.

One of the most memorable moments for most of us was the opportunity to go surfing! For some, this proved to be very tricky however, we were all very proud of our efforts. Some people even managed to get up on their board!

We also enjoyed playing different sport games and running around on the beach and we even got to have a play in the pool!

On our first night, we enjoyed a night walk where we got to observe the night sky. We then warmed up around a camp fire while we roasted marshmallows and shared some 'scary' stories.

On Day 2, we walked to a rock pool where we were able to collaborate with our activity groups and hunt for different sea-creatures. That night we had a disco where we were able to show off our best dance moves.

On our third day of camp, we went for a walk at Wilson's Prom and we got to see emus and kangaroos! We then made our way to Squeaky Beach. We could hear the sand squeak beneath our feet as we walked along in the sand. We went on a hike starting at Squeaky Beach and we ended up at Tidal River. The walk was exhausting but the views were worth it!

On the final day of camp we went to the beach for one final time. We took part in a sand sculpting activity.
