NATIONAL RIDE2SCHOOL DAY

National Ride2School Day is tomorrow!

Hopefully your bikes, scooters, roller-blades are ready to go!

Remember when you arrive, you will be greeted at a school gate by one of the Year 6 Sports Leaders and you will be given a Ride2School sticker to wear. You can then make your way to the hall to put your bike or scooter away and afterwards, enjoy a piece of fruit.

Make sure you are at school before 8.45am, so that you have time to put your bike or scooter away, grab a piece of fruit and head off to class to be ready for a great day  of learning.

At lunchtime you will have an opportunity to ride your bike on the oval or scooter on the basketball courts.

The Sports Leaders and I look forward to seeing you in the morning, celebrating National Ride2School Day.

National Ride2School Day Sticker Competition Winner!

Last year, Bicycle Network Australia ran a Sticker Competition  that was open to all students across Australia. They were looking for new stickers for National Ride2School Day 2021 that celebrate the fun of walking, riding, scooting and skating to school and that would inspire even more students to get active.

The winning sticker design would become Ride2School’s official sticker and be shared in schools across Australia. The student with the winning design would also win a brand new BYK bike for themselves.

There were many entries from across Australia and many BPPS students entered the competition... and one BPPS student was chosen as the National winner!!

Congratulations Yee-Chern! Your design is amazingly creative and you have captured all elements of 'Active Travel' and 'Ride2School' in  your design.

Here is a photo of Yee-Chern with her new bike and a photo of her design.

Well done Yee-Chern!
