Responsible Pet Ownership

As part of our Identity concept, Foundation children are exploring the essential question, "How do I stay safe?"

To support their learning, children participated in a Responsible Pet Ownership session.

During the session, children learnt about dog safety, including how to tell if a dog is happy, frightened or angry, safe ways to greet a dog and what to do if approached by an unknown dog.

The children loved meeting Prancer the dog!

After the session, the children created a book to teach others about how to stay safe around dogs and other animals.
