Student achievement news: 

Tiarne Hile recently participated in the Orange Grammar Interschools competition for equestrian last week. She ended up finishing as the years 7-12 Age Champion which is an amazing effort! Over the weekend she competed in a number of events including combined training where she finished 2nd in the dressage and made a valiant effort in the show jumping. She also competed in Show Horse where she received 3 2nd places, 2 3rd places and a 4th.

Open Girls Hockey

Our open girls knockout hockey team began their journey through the Sydney South West Knockout competition during June this year. The team played East Hill Girls Technology High School with short numbers, however came away with a 12-nil win. Onto the next round they came up against a strong Westfields Sports High School, with an unfortunate loss of 4-nil.

 

Placing in the top two teams of the SSW region, the team has progressed to the CHSNSW State Knockout Competition with their next match to be played prior to September 1st. They have shown a huge effort, playing both games with limited players. 

Players: Emily, Tiahna, Taylah, Maddeline, Chelsea, Erin, Anna, Sam, Megan, Sophia, Chloe, Rose.

B Street Smart Excursion

The B Street Smart Road Safety Excursion for Year 10 has been finalised and a list of students attending is posted on the noticeboard in D Block. The excursion is on Tuesday 22nd August. Students need to arrive at school by 8am as buses will be leaving at 8:15am and should arrive home by 3pm. Due to new anti-terrorism laws, Qudos Bank Arena will not allow any school bags or back packs to be brought into the arena and must be left on the bus. Mobile phones are permitted and lunches should be brought in a plastic bag. The school will be purchasing clear plastic bags for students who do not have one at home. If you choose to purchase food, Qudos Bank Arena is a cashless venue - Card only.  Any questions, please see your PDHPE teacher.
