A group of year 8 students offered opportunity to try Trade for a Day @ Outer Northern Trade Training Centre on Thursday 20th November.

A group of approximately 15 students will travel to Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) co- located on the same campus as Peter Lalor Secondary College. The students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience across 4 trade areas

Electrical
Plumbing
Automotive
Building and Construction

The taster program is part of the work we are doing with our students on careers and education pathways. The intention of the day is to exposed the students to Trade Training Centre and opportunities these industry endorsed programs offer.

Technical Education provides students with pathways towards highly paid careers through school-based, industry-supported vocational skills training in the following areas:

VET courses offered at ONTTC include:

Certificate II in Automotive
Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry)
Certificate II in Electro-technology
Certificate II in Plumbing

The Outer Northern Trade Training Centre is proud to be partnering with a range of industry leaders including Cummins Diesel, Komatsu, PACCAR (Kenworth) and other stakeholders to deliver the TEC program.
