Building Update

The College has been allotted one more newly built double classroom relocatable which will bring the total of extra classroom spaces to 8 for next year. This will be installed in the coming month. As well as this the College will receive a smaller Mod 4 Specialist relocatable which will assist in moving either the PE gym or Spanish classroom to allow for the teachers to return to the original designated work room and free up the staff lounge for what will be over 40 staff across teaching and ES staff.

The Early works package has been accepted and funded with the preparation for the hardcourts having already begun and the completion date listed as 24 January 2020, ready for the school year. Melbcon have been contracted to complete the early works. The final schematic designs for the rest of Stage 2 is in the final stages. All parties involved: Victorian Schools Building Authority, Brand Architects are keen for the build to go out to tender as soon as possible so work can begin by the end of Term 1 2020.

Construction has begun on the adjacent site for Edgars Creek Primary school.  I have been invited to sit on the Edgars Creek Primary School Reference group but this is in regards to the educational aspect of the school. This reference group will also include local Primary school Principals and DET leaders.

It is very exciting to see all the development and most importantly the timing will mean that our Foundation students will be able to experience all the educational facilities.
