Parliament House - Exhibition of Young People 

Edgars Creek Secondary College was invited by our local member Bronwyn Halfpenny to participate in an exhibition @ Parliament House

The school was invited by our Local Member of Parliament Bronwyn Halfpenny to participate in an exhibition to celebrate the contributions 

of young people in the Thomastown Electorate.  The exhibition was 

was opened on Tuesday the 29th October at 6:00 pm by the Premier, Daniel Andrews. The exhibition show cased a range of exhibits ranging from community groups including sporting clubs, Scouts, cultural groups, schools and TAFE to name just a few

 

 

The exhibition was attended by our SchoolCouncil President Melanie Taimani  and her daughter Naia (who is a highly active member Student Representative Council) who worked with a team of staff including Mel Broders, Sara Mamone and Conrad Soderlund and fellow student Kiara Barnes who collaborated to create an amazing exhibit of a wide range of student works.

Student Exhibition and Profiles

Daniel was chosen for his contribution to school where he is actively involved in a wide range of school teams however his passion is Basketball and AFL football. Outside of school he is passionate and active player at

the Epping Football Club where he was acknowledged

as 6th best player in the Northern League.

 

 

 

Students Reina Lay, and Milanya Postnikova where invited to be interviewed for the exhibition because of their passion for art and creative endeavours. Navreen Cheema was chosen because of her love and success acquiring Spanish as a language.

 

 

 

Ezekiel Tambo, was chosen to be interview because of his pride and connection to his indigenous culture, he is highly involved in sharing proudly his indigenous culture performing across Australia and internationally to promote and celebrate indigenous culture.

Zeek is equally passionate about his love of basketball and he currently plays with Craigieburn Allsaints Club and he aspires to become a professional athlete.

"My Culture helps me carry myself with honour and gives me something to proudly represent".
