Around the School - The Office, Library, Canteen!

The Administration Staff at Roxburgh Primary School would like to welcome everyone back for the 2025 school year. It is lovely to see all the parents and students we already know - and to meet the new ones.
The team consists of:
Monica Milne - Business Manager
Anojah Sivapalan - Finance/Admin Officer
Fay Kurdi - First Aid
As we move into the new school year, there are some things that we would like to ask parents to ensure are up to date with us.
Sentral Access
All parents should have downloaded the Sentral App onto their phones. Sentral is the major form of communication between the school and the parent community. If you have not downloaded Sentral, please do so. Once you download the app, Anojah or Monica will be able to supply you with an access code so that you can get into the app and be kept up to date with everything happening at the school.
Medical Conditions and Medications
If your child has any medical conditions, it is important that the school be made aware of it. Additionally, if your child takes any medication, it needs to be recorded on the school system, and be stored in first aid. If your child has any medical conditions, or medication, that the school is not aware of, please contact the office and discuss with Fay. If your child takes Ventolin for asthma, or needs an EpiPen for anaphylactic reactions, it is important that the school know, and have these medicines on site to support your child. If you have any questions, you can discuss them with Fay or Monica.
Arriving late or leaving early?
If your child arrives at school late, it is important that they sign in on the computers at the front office. If you are bringing your child to school late, you can assist them with the sign in, but then let them walk through to their classroom by themselves. In the event of a child needing to be guided to their class, a member of staff from the office area will take walk with them
If you need to pick your child up early, please ensure that you sign them out on the computer at the front office. We also ask that you realise it can be difficult for children to hear their name called if they are at play at lunch or recess (between 11:40 and 12:10 and again between 1:50 and 2:20). While office staff will put an announcement out during these times for students to come to the office, they often do not hear the announcement, and you may need to wait till students are in class for them to be contacted.
We also ask that you not pick up your child after 2:45 pm. We do not release children after 2:45 in the afternoon. You will be asked to wait until the bell sounds and students are dismissed at 3:10.
Have you moved or updated your phone number or email address?
If you have moved to a new home, or your family circumstances have changed, please make sure you let the office staff know. Anojah or Monica will be able to update your address, phone number or email address for you. You should also let us know if you have a change in family circumstances, including who you will allow to collect your child from school. If you have a change in the people you would like to be contacted in the event of an emergency when we are unable to reach you, please let us know so that all details are up to date.
