WEEK 2 | TERM 2

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

The Grade 5s have had a great start to the term, diving straight into their swimming and non-swimmers programs. In Reading, students are learning how to summarize fiction texts and are beginning to learn about synthesizing their ideas. In Numeracy, students have been working on additive thinking and financial literacy skills, applying their knowledge to real-world problems. Within Inquiry, we are exploring Australian History (1800–1900) and looking at the impacts of colonization; to support this, we are focusing on historical narratives in Writing. Students are using their imaginations to write about what it would be like to live in and experience a time period from the past. We look forward to having a great rest of the term.
