Week 2- Netball (Invasion games)
Welcome back to PE for term 2! During the first few weeks of term our 5/6 students have been working on invasion games. Netball has been the sport selected to showcase the required skills needed for invasion games. Students have worked in teams to problem solve and use strategy to win games of netball. After we finish the topic of netball, students will participate in basketball and soccer to demonstrate their knowledge of invasion games. All students have had a wonderful start to the term and have shown a great ability to work well with others and demonstrate the school values at Deanside Primary. We are looking forward to all the great learning ahead for this term.
A few reminders for what extra activities are available for our year 6 students:
- Grade 6 Interschool Sport Week 3 & 4 on Friday 8th May and 15th May.
- Year 3-6 District Cross Country Wednesday 6th May from 10 am at Melton Bridge Road Athletics.
