STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

Welcome and Wominjeka!

Grade One and Two artists were introduced to how texture can be created by using small marks repeatedly, overlapping and using two shades of a colour. They were given a teddy bear template and challenged to make it furry or hairy. They were also asked to chose warm colours (for happy and joyful) or cool colours (for calm and relaxed). Repeating small lines also enhances fine motor skills and hand strength. Once completed, they cut their bears out and added them to a background of the same colour. Don’t you just love the different expressions? We are so proud of our cute, fluffy, hairy, monochromatic bears!
