Last week we welcomed our Grade 4’s back for Term 2! We spent the first week revisiting classroom expectations. We discussed how we can be sure we are ready to learn by using the Ready To Learn Scale and updating our Ready to Learn Plans.
This week we have begun our swimming program with Paul Sadler Aintree. It has been fantastic watching the children’s water skills develop. For those of us aren’t swimming, we have been learning about water safety at school. We’ve learnt how to stay safe around different bodies of water and what to do if we get into danger.
This week we also begun looking at Persuasive texts. We have investigated the structure of a persuasive piece of writing and very soon we will begin researching and drafting our own writing piece.
Homework also started this week and is due back on Thursday May 14th. Homework has been fully explained in class, however, if you or your child does have any questions, please make contact with your child’s classroom teacher.
