Strong Start Program | School Readiness

Strong Start is a 5-week program that supports both children and their families to build the skills, foundational skills needed for a successful transition into the school environment and lifelong learning.

The program focuses on:

  • Building children's foundational skills for school participation and learning.
  • Increasing parent confidence in supporting their child through the early years.
  • Providing practical strategies that families can continue to use throughout their child's life, to support them at home.
  • Developing recommendations for educators to support each child's individual strengths and needs within the school setting.

This program is based on early childhood intervention best practice principles and recognises that parents and caregivers play a vital role in their child's learning and development. By supporting both the child and their family, the program aims to create a strong foundation for a positive and successful start to school.
