STEM & Robotics

Over the weekend of 7-9 March, the Robotics Team went up to NSW to participate in the Southern Cross Regionals FIRST robotics competition.

We competed against a total of 44 other teams from all over Australia and some even from overseas. We learnt a lot throughout the competition and did a lot of problem-solving on the go, most importantly, we had a lot of fun.

We are now really looking forward to our next competition, which will be based in Melbourne for the Robotics Tournament and will be held at our school in Blackburn in July 2025.

Robau Incursion

Our Year 11 Applied Computing class attended a quadruped robot incursion on the 3rd April.  The students had fun programming a pair of robots using block code on an iPad.

They managed to make the robots move, jump, dance, roll over, stand on two legs, and shake hands.

We would like to thank Robau for providing this opportunity.
