Humanities

Economics class

This week, the Year 12 VCE Economics class initiated an investigation into the current economic climate in Australia. They analysed data from the past decade and made observations of past economic performances. This context eventually led them to make positive inferences about the future of the Australian Economy.

They practiced data interpretation and annotation skills and displayed high spirits of collaborative learning while engaging in this task.

Well done, year 12 students!

Year 7 Yarra Bend Excursion

Friday 28 March, the Hollows and Freeman Year 7 Humanities classes went on a fieldwork excursion to Yarra Bend.

Students observed the natural river environment and the impact of human activity on the physical environment and the economy.

They completed field sketches and noted walkers, cyclists, and other outdoor activities, as well as natural features like erosion and environmental mitigation efforts.

The excursion gave students a chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world observations as a part of their CAT.

On Monday 31 March , the remaining classes from Dunlop and Melba took part in the Yarra Bend Studley Park educational experience.
