ACC Senior Basketball

It has been a huge couple of weeks of ACC Basketball, with both our Senior Boys and Senior Girls competing in the ACC South Division 1 Semi Finals at Bendat Basketball Stadium.

Our Senior Boys faced a strong Kingsway Christian College side and, despite their best efforts, were defeated 92–56. While the result did not go their way, we are extremely proud of this group for progressing so far in the competition. Their growth, resilience and commitment across the season have been outstanding, and they have represented the College with great pride.

The Senior Girls, however, delivered an exciting and hard-fought performance, coming away with a 64–56 victory over Kingsway in a thrilling contest. It was a strong team performance across the board, with all players contributing.

This win saw our Senior Girls progress to the ACC Senior Girls Grand Final — a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their hard work throughout the term. The Grand Final took place on Tuesday against John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School.

The girls showed great resilience but fell just short, with a final score of 91-72. Regardless of the result, we are incredibly proud of our Senior Girls for representing our college so well and displaying excellence both on and off the court.

ACC D Division Swimming Carnival

On Monday 23 March, our top swimmers travelled to Perth HPC for the annual ACC D Division Swimming Carnival.

Every St Norbert College student who competed represented the College with pride, giving their best in each event and demonstrating composure under pressure. Equally commendable was the enthusiasm shown by our students in supporting one another. The encouragement from the sidelines and the camaraderie within the team reflected the values we strive to uphold as a College community.

We concluded the ACC D Division Swimming Carnival with an equal 7th placing, finishing on a total of 798.0 points. While this was not the outcome we had hoped for, the day was marked by a strong sense of determination, resilience and school spirit.

We congratulate all students involved on their efforts and thank them for the positive way in which they represented St Norbert College.
