Darwinia House

Hello everyone! If you don't know me already, I'm Ali H, and I'm your Year 9 Darwinia SRC.

I hope everyone had a great holiday, got some time to relax, and is ready for Term 3. 

We've got a busy term ahead with lots of exciting events. 

One of the biggest events coming up is Athletics Day on 18 August. Whether you're competing or just cheering everyone on, make sure you get involved and wear your Darwinia colours. Every bit of support helps our House, so let's show lots of House spirit and make Darwinia proud.

Year 9 students also had Course Counselling this term. Choosing your subjects for next year can feel like a big decision, but don't stress. Talk to your teachers, HLT or careers staff if you need help. They're there to help you choose what's right for you.

I hope everyone has an awesome Term 3. Get involved, support each other, and let's make it a great term for Darwinia.

Darwinia

Hi everyone! My name is Almasa O and I’m a Year 8 SRC member. 

Being part of SRC this year has been really enjoyable because I’ve been able to meet new people, share my ideas and be involved in different activities around the school. I really enjoy being able to work with the other SRC members and help make our school a more fun and welcoming place for everyone.

One of the highlights of Term 3 was being able to take part in the Athletics Carnival. Even though Darwinia didn't come first or second place, I’m still very proud of Darwinia for getting involved and trying! It was really fun seeing everyone get involved, supporting their house and cheering each other on. I also enjoyed being able to spend time with my friends and make some good memories throughout the term.

As Term 3 comes to an end, I hope everyone has a great break and gets to spend some time relaxing with their friends and family. I’m looking forward to Term 4 and all the activities and events that are coming up. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!
