Melbourne Victory

Today in Melbourne Victory, I learned about the different types of academies you have to go through to get into playing in world cups and for world class clubs. Then our coach told us about what types of academies he coaches in, he coaches Melbourne Victory in pre academies, and for another club in the junior NPL. He showed us about what we are going to learn in the next few weeks and then explained some drills we will do when we have prac. Like defending positions and what to do if you need to pass the ball to another player. 

Today I learned about how you can go from Under 12 to Under 18 in the Melbourne Victory team if you can make it to the Seniors and to the main team you watch on tv. If you want to make to the team, you have to attend the classes and focus on the teachers and the coach, you have to train hard every day and respect your coach and your teammates, and you have to attend the normal classes and get good grades if you want to be in the elite group. Thank you Miss Hayes and the coach Juan.

Year 7 Eucalyptus

Year 9 Sports Education in Physical Education Program

This term, Year 9s engaged in Sports Education in Physical Education Program (SEPEP) in PE. 9 Grevillea chose to learn about and get involved in Netball.  Their learning progressed throughout the term, as they learnt about the rules, positions, how to engage in drills and warmups, and performing administrative roles. Students participated in jobs such as coaching, umpiring and awarding votes for the Most Valuable Player.

Well done to 9G In their efforts and learning this term.
