School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our first School Captain’s newsletter report for Term Two 2026.
This week has been packed with commemoration, enthusiasm, new experiences, and sporting challenges. It was ANZAC Day on Saturday April 25th so a big thank you to everyone who came to the Dawn Service to commemorate the soldiers who fought for our country. We were both able to wear our Great Grandparents' medals that they earned for fighting in the wars and we couldn’t be more proud.
Also the school has been buzzing with excitement because yesterday and today were our Open Days! Our tour guides (which were selected from Year Five and Six) took interested families around our school throughout five different sessions. As School Captains we also had the privilege of being able to host the Open Days and tell prospective families all about our school. It was so much fun and a great experience.
Our Year Sixes have also had a super exciting week with a day in the life of a Year Seven at Rosehill Secondary, where we got to make slime in science, make a delicious meal in food tech, watch some amazingly talented singing and dancing performances from students and find out what it was like to be a Year Seven. We also had interschool sports today with the sports being Netball, Footy (AFL), Soccer and Teeball. It was highly competitive as we played St Vincent’s Primary and overall it was a really fun day.
We hope everyone has a great weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone back at school on Monday.
“One kind word can change someone’s entire day”
Sincerely your School Captains,
Georgia and Ethan
