GEC Basketball Academy

Introducing the GEC Basketball Academy!

Glen Eira College, in collaboration with Chase Basketball, is excited to announce the launch of the GEC Basketball Academy — an exciting new extra-curricular program designed to enhance the basketball skills of students across all ability levels.

The Academy will provide students with two 1.5-hour training sessions per week (7:00am–8:30am in the college gym) across 32 weeks of on-court training each year. Sessions will run before school on two mornings each week, with no weekend or school holiday commitments — allowing students to balance their sporting passion with their academic and personal commitments.

Athletes will be assessed and grouped into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to ensure tailored coaching that supports enjoyment, progression, and development.

Under the expert guidance of elite Chase Coaches, students will focus on improving basketball fundamentals, fitness, teamwork, fairness, dedication, and a strong work ethic.

Program Details

• Training Schedule: 2 sessions per week (7:00am–8:30am)
• Annual On-Court Allocation: 32 weeks across 4 school terms
• No weekend or school holiday obligations
• Registration Deposit: $245 (includes $95 uniform fee — reversible jersey, shorts & drawstring bag)
• Program Fee: $380 per term (deduction dates TBC)
• Uniform: Included in registration deposit
