Well done to our LHS Track and Field stars who competed at the Eastern Metropolitan Region event.

Successful Results:

• Harvey Baker Flett: Javelin Bronze
• Myra Craig: High Jump Silver 
• Bryn Ballagh: Shot Putt Bronze
• Zoe Clark: 800m Gold, 1500m Gold,   
• Ky Harris: 1500m Silver, 800m Gold, 400m Bronze
• Maddie Laven: 1500m Gold, 800 Gold, 400m Gold

State Track & Field

Monday 16 October

Congratulations to Maddie Laven, Ky Harris and Zoe Clark who earned an opportunity to represent Lilydale High School at the State Track & Field.

In windy and cold conditions at Albert Park, our three track athletes performed exceptionally well. 

Ky finished 5th in the 800m.   

Maddie and Zoe made multiple appearances on the State Podium.  Zoe finished 2nd in the 800m and 1500m.

Maddie finished 4th in the 3000m, 1st in the 1500 and 1st 800m. 

Maddie’s 800m effort was a highlight of the day, where she came from behind in the final 25m to earn the gold medal.   Congratulations Maddie!

Proud Sporting Achievements

This SSV event was the last for Ky and Maddie who have represented Lilydale High School at Division, Region and State level Cross Country and Track & Events since their arrival at the School in 2018. 

They have consistently performed at these events with such competitiveness and determination. Also, both Maddie and Ky have been role models for the School’s younger students displaying such passion, motivation, respect, and sportsmanship when they are competing.
