Our International Student Program recently hosted the Lunar New Year Celebration, recognising and celebrating cultural diversity. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for local and international students to connect through cultural exchange.
The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to experience different cultural traditions and cuisines. Many students enjoyed a variety of traditional foods and participating in a range of activities organised by our teachers, including calligraphy, ribbon dance and a wishing wall where they shared their hopes for the year ahead. It was fantastic to see students embracing new experiences and immersing themselves in this meaningful cultural celebration.
We sincerely thank Mr Batchelor, Mr Heyes, Ms Fisher, Ms Farrell, Ms Halliwell, Ms Ren, Ms Koning, and all the staff who contributed to making this event such a success.
On 4 February, Frankston High School welcomed Marina from Hausch Partners for a school tour, providing an opportunity to showcase our facilities and the programs available to our international students.
We value our ongoing partnership with the agency and are currently supporting one of their students enrolled at our school.
The following week, on 13 February, we were also pleased to host Nancy Hoerig from Experiment Agency, who expressed strong interest in our programs and the breadth of opportunities offered to international students.
Both visits were supported by Aneke McCulloch from the International Education Department.
