TERM 1 ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT OVERVIEW
Term 1 kicked off with a strong focus on alumni engagement, featuring six alumni sessions, 18 alumni returning to Frankston High School and approximately 1,017 students participating.
The sessions covered a wide range of valuable experiences for our students including:
- Year 12 recent graduates sharing practical advice on navigating the challenges of Year 12.
- A Year 10 Work Experience Alumni Panel where former students highlighted the importance of work experience and how it helped shape their future pathways.
- Alumni currently studying and working in design who spoke with Year 11 and 12 students about industry expectations, study pathways and career opportunities.
In addition, our International Women’s Day Breakfast was a highlight with over 200 attendees. Alongside contributions from student captains, leaders and student musical performances we heard from three inspiring alumni who reflected on how they apply the IWD theme of “give to gain” both personally and professionally.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM
Frankston High School is continuing to grow its alumni program in partnership with Ourschool, a not-for-profit alumni program for state secondary schools and the first of its kind in Australia.
By connecting with the alumni program, past students can provide career guidance and work experience opportunities for current students, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways.
Ourschool is working with Frankston High to help these things happen by growing the school’s alumni community and coordinating the involvement of alumni in the school.
Ms Jane Figas
Alumni Program Coordinator
