We're a great mix in Level 6!
We are delighted to welcome you to Term 4; an exciting final term for our Level 6 students! This letter outlines several important initiatives and organisational details to help ensure a smooth and enriching experience for your child.

Our students have embarked on a special scrapbooking project that will showcase their primary school journey. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the writing skills and genres they have mastered throughout the year.
If your child has not yet brought a scrapbook to school, please acquire one as soon as possible and send it in.

Each week, students will write in a different genre—narrative, recount, poetry, information reports, and more—and feature these pieces in their scrapbooks alongside photographs, memorabilia, and other meaningful items. This week, students have been exploring poetry in all its forms, and the initial contributions to their scrapbooks are already looking excellent.
We warmly invite you to participate in this project by helping your child gather important pictures, newspaper clippings, artwork, and other items that capture special moments and memories from their primary school experience. Your involvement will help create a treasured record they can look back on for years to come.

Guided Reading: The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind
This term, our class is reading The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, a remarkable memoir that tells the true story of William Kamkwamba and his extraordinary ingenuity and resilience. Through this inspiring narrative, students will encounter themes of bravery, compassion, creativity, and human tenacity.
We encourage you to take an active interest in your child's reading this term. Perhaps discuss with them the virtues William demonstrates throughout the book and how these qualities help him overcome challenges. These conversations will deepen their understanding and engagement with the text.
Don Bosco Beach Camp: November 11–13
Our school camp is approaching quickly! This is always a highlight of the school year, and we look forward to our students enjoying this wonderful experience at the Don Bosco beach camp.
Please ensure that all camp paperwork is completed, signed, and returned to school by the end of Week 2. Timely submission of these forms is essential for us to finalise all arrangements.
We look forward to a wonderful Term 4 filled with creativity, learning, and memorable experiences.
Thank you so much: Level 6 Team.
