NAIDOC Week

During Weeks One and Two, ENPS students explored this year's NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly". Through a range of authentic and age-appropriate learning experiences, students celebrated the achievements, resilience and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over the past 50 years.

Students engaged with stories, videos and class discussions, investigating past NAIDOC Week themes and posters, and reflected on what the word Deadly means within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. These learning experiences encouraged students to deepen their understanding of Australia's rich First Nations histories and cultures while fostering respect, curiosity and appreciation for the world's oldest continuing cultures.
