Mathematics at ENPS

Year Five Maths Games Day

Eight keen Year Five mathematicians - Scarlett, Thomas, Spencer, Kevin, Richard, Nam, Seth and Tim - proudly represented ENPS at the Maths Games Day held at St Monica’s Primary School.

The competition challenged students to think creatively, work efficiently and contribute effectively as part of a team. ENPS students were divided into two teams of four and competed against students from a range of different schools.

Round One saw students partner with teams from other schools to play a series of timed mathematical games, testing both their problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

Round Two focused on collaborative problem-solving. There was great excitement when Team One climbed to the top of the leaderboard during this round!

Round Three was fast-paced and active, with team members taking turns to collect short-answer problems before working together to solve them. Team Two performed exceptionally well, answering the highest number of questions out of any team.

At the conclusion of the event, Team One was proudly awarded third place.

Both teams should be incredibly proud of the way they thought critically, collaborated effectively, tackled challenging problems and, most importantly, had fun while representing ENPS.
