Traffic School Excursion

Our Year Three students had a fantastic day at the Essendon Traffic School, where they explored the importance of road rules and laws and how they help keep everyone safe in our community.

Students practised riding bikes safely, identified and followed road signs, and took part in role-playing activities as pedestrians, including safely using a lollipop crossing. These hands-on experiences helped students develop a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities we all share when using roads and public spaces.

After our Traffic School session, we headed to the park for a scavenger hunt. Students worked collaboratively to solve clues while enjoying the beautiful weather and spending time together outdoors.

The giant slide was undoubtedly a highlight of the day! Many students showed great courage as they climbed to the top before racing down with smiles, laughter and plenty of excitement. The fun continued with friendly games of basketball, soccer, football, down ball and even a few kicks at goal with Miss May enthusiastically volunteering as the footy goal post!

A special thank you to the parents who generously volunteered their time to support and supervise the excursion. Your assistance helped make the day such a success.

It was wonderful to see our student’s demonstrating teamwork, resilience, responsibility and respect throughout the day while building confidence, strengthening friendships and creating lasting memories together.
