A magical night at Glen Albyn Estate
Oh, what a night! Last Friday, our Class of 2025 stepped out in style for their Year 12 Leavers' Dinner at Glen Albyn Estate.
Our students arrived in a glamorous display of floor-length gowns and big smiles, ready to mark the end of their SMC school journey with family, friends and teachers.
It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, photos, fun and dancing. Thank you to everyone involved in making this such a special event for our Year 12 graduates.
Here's to the memories made and the bright futures ahead! Below are just a few snapshots from the night that was.
Big birds make a statement on the Green
Have you spotted them yet? Three bold, oversized birds have landed at SMC, and they’ve made themselves right at home among the garden greenery.
Created by our talented Years 7–10 Art students, these eye-catching pieces draw inspiration from the 2025 Australian Bird of the Year and the vibrant style of contemporary artist Peter Cromer.
Through colour, shape, line and pattern, they celebrate the beauty of Australian wildlife while weaving in pop art and popular culture influences.
If you haven't already, take a stroll up to the College Green and check out these stunning sculptures up close. They're certainly giving our resident birdwatchers something to 'crow' about!
Tassie 'Pilgrims of Hope' represent SMC at Australian Catholic Youth Festival
We are proud to share that our SMC Pilgrims had the amazing opportunity to represent Tasmania at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Melbourne, from 30 November to 2 December.
This inspiring event brought together thousands of young people from across the country to celebrate faith, community and hope for the future.
Congratulations to our students on representing the College so wonderfully. We look forward to hearing more about their experiences and reflections in the weeks ahead.
