Key information, announcements and upcoming events for our SMC community.
Whether you’re a returning student or joining St Mary's College for the first time in 2026, everything you need for a successful start to the year is now in one convenient place on our website: Back to School Toolkit 2026.
From book lists and important forms to term dates and device requirements, the toolkit is designed to help our families feel informed, prepared and ready to hit the ground running.

As we approach the end of the school term, please check for any items your child may have misplaced, including uniform items, lunch boxes and drink bottles.
Lost property locations:
If Senior School students have lost jewellery or technology items, please contact the House Leaders directly.
Items will be available for collection until the end of next week, so please pop by and pick them up before they’re stored away.

This Christmas season, we warmly invite families to support the St Mary’s College Christmas Drive. By donating a gift or making a contribution, you will help bring joy and comfort to those in our community who need it most.
This year, all Junior School classes will be creating Christmas hampers for St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) and the Annie Kenney Young Women’s Accommodation Service. These hampers will be presented to both agencies at the Years 3–6 Spirit of Christmas gathering on Tuesday 16 December. Donations can be made directly to your child’s classroom.
In the Senior School, House groups are encouraged to contribute items to support Annie Kenney. Donations can be placed in the House bins outside the Common Room from Monday. For details on how you can contribute and what items are needed, please visit the Junior School and Senior School Families pages on Connect.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting families in our local community.
Planning your family’s transport options for the year ahead? Don’t forget, we offer a bus service for our Junior School students in Kinder to Year 6.
The bus, which is owned and operated by St Mary's College, travels along designated stops on the Eastern Shore and in Sorell, providing a safe and reliable drop-off and pick-up service (not door-to-door).
In 2026, our families can choose between two cashless payment options:
