Now with the Final Assessment block finished for year 12 there is still a lot of work that needs completing. Receiving feedback from your teachers is a valuable opportunity to reflect on your performance and to identify areas for improvement. Feedback can help students understand what they did well and where they could have performed better. Although exam results are important, the feedback students receive can also help students build confidence, develop better study habits, and prepare them for further education, work or other goals.
It is also important that students' attendance is meeting college standards. These final weeks are not a time to have days off as every lesson and subject is important. So please make sure students are attending and not leaving early on Thursdays during study time for our ATAR students.
Finishing Year 12 on a strong note serves as a vital bridge between high school and the next chapter of our students' lives. Reaching the finish line with focus and determination reinforces essential life skills like resilience, self-discipline, and time management—qualities that pay immediate dividends whether transitioning into university, vocational training, or the workforce. Moreover, ending well allows students to complete their secondary education with a genuine sense of pride and closure, protecting their mental well-being and ensuring they leave behind a positive personal legacy.
Beyond academic results, these final weeks offer an irreplaceable opportunity to celebrate shared milestones, strengthen lifelong friendships, and express gratitude to teachers and family who provided support along the way, ultimately leaving students feeling empowered and ready for whatever comes next. I have no doubt our students will finish this Term on a positive note. However, any student who does not uphold our college expectations during these final weeks of Year 12 will not have the privilege to attend memorable celebrations.
