Library News

From the Library
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the library this year - designing our bookmarks, volunteering in the library, recommending and reviewing books, and taking part in Book Club, the Premiers’ Reading Challenge, and Book Week activities.
We’ve seen wonderful engagement from students through their reading: browsing the shelves, borrowing books, and sharing conversations about what they’re enjoying. Below is a snapshot of our reading highlights from the year.
Many students have borrowed books for the holidays, signed up for our Summer Reading Challenge, or adopted mini pets to accompany them on their holiday reading adventures!
Our eBook and audiobook platform, Sora, will remain available throughout the holidays, offering a fantastic range of popular fiction, biographies, and graphic novels. Students can access it at https://soraapp.com/library/auebooksnow or by installing the app on a phone or tablet and signing in with their VBC email and password.
Craft & Connect
A highlight this year has been our Craft & Connect sessions, held during Tuesday breaktimes in Term 4. Students have been visiting the library to enjoy a variety of creative activities—including diamond dots, mandalas, mini canvas painting, calligraphy, doodling, origami and more. Their enthusiasm has brought a positive, relaxed atmosphere, giving everyone a chance to unwind and get creative.
We’re excited to share some photos from the term and look forward to continuing the program next year. We’re also planning to introduce a second activity day, with more details to come in 2026!
