Our Duke of Edinburgh participants recently completed their final qualifying Adventurous Journey in the breath taking Grampians National Park. Across two groups, students hiked the pinnacles as their main hike, navigated steep tracks, and demonstrated impressive resilience and teamwork throughout the experience.
These challenges provided the perfect opportunity for students to apply the planning, navigation, and problem-solving skills they have developed throughout their Duke of Ed journey. Highlights included panoramic views from iconic lookouts, encounters with native wildlife, and the chance to work together to develop and create camp meals.
The students showed maturity, perseverance, and strong collaboration skills as they successfully met all requirements of their qualifying trek. Completing this journey marks a significant milestone in their Duke of Edinburgh Award, and we congratulate everyone involved on this outstanding achievement.

I really enjoyed the general camping experience with my friends because I don`t go camping often, this being my first year with school. I also enjoyed all the sport we played with everyone from the volleyball tournament to the nfl and other games.
I enjoyed the day 2 pinnacle hike, as well as bonding with other students I don't normally talk to as much.
My favourite part of the whole camp was the breathtaking views at the top of the pinnacles that overlooked the valleys. It was the most beautiful view I've ever seen in my life, and I really enjoyed it.
The best part of the camp for me was cooking my dinners as they were very delicious and filling I also very much enjoyed seeing the top view of the pinnacles and getting to enjoy my delicious previously made chicken wraps.
