Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead
Congratulations to all students who completed their VCE and VCE–VM in 2025!
Year 12 marks the culmination of 13 years of learning, and this year’s achievements truly reflect the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our students, families, and staff.
Our median study score remained strong at 31 (just shy of 32!), with more than 10% of scores above 40.
Impressively, 43% of our students achieved an ATAR of 80 or higher—the best result in Viewbank College’s 31-year history.
These outcomes highlight the power of consistent effort and the incredible support from our community.
Special congratulations to Jeremy Aratnaitham, our VCE Vocational Major Student of the Year, who has also been nominated for a state-wide award.
Jeremy is currently working in a Docklands restaurant and plans to pursue an apprenticeship in Cookery.
Our VCE Dux, Xavier Phillips, achieved an outstanding ATAR of 98.95 and will continue his studies in Engineering. Xavier’s exceptional results set a wonderful example for future cohorts.
Welcoming the Year 7s of 2026
Over the past two weeks, we’ve warmly welcomed our new Year 7 students and their families. We look forward to supporting them as they grow and create lasting memories over the next six years. A special thank-you to Dean Moss and the Middle School Team for their care and dedication during this transition.
College Highlights
- Student Wellbeing & Engagement: Our first year with Year 10 students in the senior school has been a positive step, improving the transition into VCE. We’re excited about planned renovations in the VCE building in 2026.
- Arts & Culture: Music evenings, the annual production, the Art/Tech Show, Holocaust Exhibition, Languages Theatre, and Middle School Production were standout events, thanks to the dedication of our Performing Arts teams and FOPA.
- Sporting Achievements: Our teams and individuals excelled at District and State levels, with high participation rates and outstanding sportsmanship.
