Jump Rope For Heart
It has only been 3 weeks but it has been amazing seeing the amount of students working on their skipping skills during play time. We are already more than half way to our school goal of $2,000 and across the school more than 40 hours of skipping have been logged! Creating a profile to record skipping is totally free and a great place to record skipping over time. It is not too late to sign up and start recording - any bonus donations raised all go to the worthy Heart Foundation to progress research on this debilitating disease.

PE Focus
For the first half of the term, students in 5/6 are working on developing their tactical acumen during our Net and Wall unit. Using sports such as pickle ball, badminton and volleyball students are learning how to use the space effectively to defend and attack and at which moments to implement these maneuvers. As all these sports fall under the same umbrella, I am hoping that students at the end will have the ability to apply similar tactics across similar sports in the future.
