Performing Arts Update

It’s been another busy fortnight of Music and Drama. Firstly I’d like to congratulate all the staff and students involved in the Autumn Concert on Tuesday 23 May. It was a fantastic evening of music with students from across the school involved. Thank you also to everyone involved in the Founders Day activities on Thursday 25 May. It’s always a treat for everyone to have the Shelford Orchestra perform the Shelford School Song, it was certainly a stirring way to finish both the Senior and Junior assemblies and our VIPs, Alumnae guests, teachers and staff certainly enjoyed the Senior String Quartet's beautiful music during the community afternoon tea.

Friday 26 May saw our VCE Drama students perform their devised ensemble performances. It is always a great night, and this year was no exception. I would like to thank Ms Juers for her hard work getting the VCE Drama class ready to perform.

While this almost seems like a distant memory we also had an afternoon of String performances in our String Soloist Soiree on Wednesday 17 May . I’d like to thank all the performers for their wonderful performances.

Year 5/7 Band Program Parent Concerts

On Tuesday 30 May parents were invited to attend an informal concert for students in the Year 5 and Year 7 Band Program. This was a great opportunity to see what they have learnt. For parents and carers who could not make it, each concert was recorded. The concerts were run in the Hall.
