Year 7 and 8 Science

Year 7

During this term our year 7 students have been learning about the three states of matter as part of their Chemistry unit. They have learnt what happens to solids, liquids and gases when heated and cooled. Students are now participating in a wide range of practical investigations to separate different types of mixtures. 

Year 8 

Our year 8 students have been learning about the body systems; Digestive System, Respiratory System and Cardiovascular System. The term would not be complete without the participation in the heart dissection in which students successfully identified the four chambers of the heart and followed the veins and arteries within a sheep’s heart.
