YEAR 8

Semester 2 kicked off this week with all new year 8 Food Studies classes. The students started the semester making French toast. For most of the students it was their first time in the new Food Studies kitchens.

YEAR 10 EXPLORING THE MENU

The Exploring the Menu students finished off their semester by creating their own fine dining dessert suitable for a person with a different allergy or intolerance.

YEAR 11 VCE and VCAL 

During the semester Year 11 VCE & VCAL Food Studies classes have been learning about foods in Australia that are native to and introduced through migration. The classes went on an excursion to the Queen Victoria Market. At the market they looked at the different foods available and the different cuisines and foods that have been introduced to Australia through migration. The students also sampled some Queen Victoria Market favourites including, hot jam donuts and churros.
