20th Anniversary Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary

This year we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary. 'Marine Care Ricketts Point' will be hosting a great family event to celebrate at Beaumaris LSC. Beaumaris Secondary College has a strong connection to our local Marine Sanctuary, with Bob Whiteway (who taught at Beaumaris High School) being a primary advocate for the formation of this sanctuary. This is an important celebration for our Marine Sanctuary and for many people in our school community.

Date: 12/11/2022

Time: 10am – 2pm

Location: Beaumaris Life Saving Club

Cost: Free

Activities: The event includes a series of outdoor and indoor educational and interactive activities - see below.

Note:

  • Activities for all ages
  • Please register for your family members and friends
  • Please bring your own water bottles as we want to eliminate plastic pollution.

This is a not-for-profit event being run by Marine Care Ricketts Point with support from Bayside City Council.
