Working with Children Check
I would like to remind all parents willing to volunteer at the College you need to apply for a Working with Children Check Card by going to the following site.
www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
If you already have a Working with Children Check card but are new to the College please go on this site and add Dromana College to your card. The initial card will cost you the price of a passport photo from there, it is free for volunteers.
Bakers Delight - Free Bread
Do you shop at Bakers Delight Dromana or Somerville? If so, then mention you are from Dromana College to link a 5% annual donation from all your purchases. This will be donated to the schools welfare fundraising at the end of the year. They also offer some great freebies so don’t be afraid to ask when you are shopping. Please support this business as loyally as they support us by donating 15 loaves of bread every week to the Breakfast club.
Parents & Friends Association
Meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7.00pm in the Administration Building. Parents, Guardians, Grandparents and students are welcome.
The next meeting will be the AGM on Wed April 19th .
Parents & Friends Bunnings BBQ
The next BBQ will be from 11.00am on April 25th ANZAC day. Volunteers welcome. Please contact me on my mobile no 0419502081 if you are willing to be on the roster. Most shifts are 2 hours. Students are welcome but must be over 15 to assist with cooking and serving the food.
Breakfast Club News
The Wednesday breakfast program has a wonderful group of parents, Grandparents and Students working hard every Wednesday morning to provide breakfast for our students. The club runs from 7.30am to 9.15am, serve hot Milo, and toast with jam, vegemite or honey. If you are keen to help please contact me at the College, or if you would like to donate any of the following items in 2017 please leave at the front office. The items we use are margarine, jam, Vegemite, Milo, hot chocolate, napkins and disposable gloves. Make sure you leave your details so we can thank you or the company who made the donation. We have a letter at the College to ask for donations if you require one.
