Victorian Schools Netball Championships
In the early hours of July, the 29th 36 girls ranging from Year 6 to Year 12 departed to play netball in the Victorian Schools Netball Championships. This day ranged from high intensity, fast-paced games against some of the best school teams around Victoria. Throughout this day every player got pushed to their limits, whether it was flying through the air to get an intercept or encouraging other teammates to push through even when they were exhausted, however, in the end, we all learned so much from this big day.
Through all the encouragement from each team, Girton was lucky to come away with some very successful results, the Intermediate and Junior team both finishing 2nd.
Although the Primary and Senior teams didn't place, both these teams had an extremely memorable first and last tournament for Girton. Thank you to Miss Speed, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Hamilton, and Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Gibson (Coach) for coming along and supporting all the players on the day.
