Year 7 Reconciliation Week Presentation’

On Friday 3rd of June, all Year 7 students were involved in the ‘Reconciliation Week’ presentation in the Library during Period 1.  

Robert from the ‘Koorie Support Education Office’ spoke and educated all Year 7 students about the history and importance of recognising ‘Reconciliation Week’ in schools nationwide. Students engaged in discussions around Indigenous culture, language, welcome to country, acknowledgement, indigenous history and the impact of Victorian curriculum, focusing on Indigenous culture. All Year 7 students were given the opportunity to engage in a ‘Question & Answer’ session. 

All students were asking valuable questions throughout the session and showed great enthusiasm!
