Work Experience
Year 10
Well, that is Work Experience done for another year.
Our students worked hard during this Covid pandemic to secure placements that are hard to come by. So many restrictions. What this meant for our Year 10s is that some completed the Virtual Work Experience program at home, while students lucky enough to secure a placement in real life (IRL), went out to work. I am proud of everyone. I still hope that some students will be able to secure IRL placements as the year progresses.
I have found over the years that Work Experience is a key event for Year 10 students. They return to school changed by what they learnt and with a renewed focus on their future. This is important because in term 3, Year 10 students will have to make decisions about their senior school program; which course and which subjects to choose?
