                                   Year 7 Camp Wilkin

Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th May, Anglesea

On Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th May 2022, the Year 7 students attended the Year 7 Camp, Camp Wilkin Anglesea. The Year 7 students and staff supervising the camp left the College at 9.00am  to travel to the camp by bus.

We arrived at Camp Wilkin by 11.00am, where we commenced our first camp experience with a safety briefing, followed by the  students being allocated their rooms and then a morning tea.

The theme while at camp was “PERSERVERENCE and CHALLENGE BY CHOICE”.

All students attending the camp were up for a challenge!

The Year 7 students and staff were up by 7.00am each morning to prepare for breakfast so we could  commence our first activity at 9.00am on each of the days.

On Day 1 of the camp, the students participated in Mountain Bike Riding, High Ropes and a Beach Night Walk to conclude the day. All students gave their best efforts in each of the activities.

On Day 2 of the camp, students participated in rotational activities, such as Orienteering, Team Initiatives, Gaga Ball, Climbing Wall, Damper Cooking session and concluding the night with a movie.

On the last day, students were up early cleaning their rooms and participating in their final group initiative activities. All students and staff departed the camp at 11.30am, stopping over at Eastern Beach Geelong for some delicious salad rolls and fruit provided by the camp.

The Year 7 students and staff who attended the camp displayed great leadership, enthusiasm, team work and strived towards our camp theme

                                 “PERSERVERENCE & CHALLENGE BY CHOICE”.

I would like to thank all Year 7 students who attended the camp and their families for their support in making this camp possible. Thank you to all staff who attended the camp!
