Mobile Phones in Schools - Student Use
Note that is a Ministerial policy formally issued by the Minister for Education under section 5.2.1(2)(b) of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic).
A reminder to all parents, students and members of our community that in accordance with the Department of Education's Mobile Phone policy issued by the Minister for Education personal mobile phones, and other personal mobile devices, must not be used at Sandringham College during school hours, including lunchtime and recess, unless an exception has been granted. Our Mobile Phone Policy is available on the College website under the Publications and Policies Tab.
Students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them switched off and securely stored during school hours. If a student is required to contact their parent/guardian they should speak to the Student Managers/Admin staff who can provide access to a phone.
Student ID Cards
A reminder to all students to please carry their student ID cards with them at all times. The purpose of the ID Card is to allow the students to access in a timely manner the photocopier/printer machines and when using the Compass Kiosk (late arrivals/early departures).
