Interschool Sports

Over the past few weeks, our ICOM students have demonstrated exceptional athleticism, unity, and sportsmanship as they proudly represented the College in a range of interschool sports competitions.

On May 16th, our Year 7 and 8 girls took to the field in the Wyndham Division of the SSV Interschool Australian Football competition. With weeks of dedicated training behind them, they played with heart and determination, leaving a lasting impression with their effort and discipline.

Our Year 7 girls’ soccer team also delivered an inspiring performance at the 2025 Aspire Soccer Cup, held at OzFutsal Brunswick. Winning four consecutive games, the team earned their place in the grand final, where they triumphed against a strong AIA Coburg side in a thrilling match. Their well-deserved victory crowned them Aspire Cup Champions for 2025. A big congratulations to our players and sincere thanks to the coaches who helped guide them to success.

Likewise, our senior secondary girls gave a valiant performance at the SSV Senior Soccer Tournament. They dominated the Pool B bracket with three wins and a draw, advancing to the grand final. In a tense and closely contested match, the final result was decided by a single penalty goal, with Tarneit Senior College narrowly claiming the win.

Despite the outcome, our girls displayed outstanding resilience and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. May Allah (SWT) continue to bless them in all their pursuits.

Adding to our sporting achievements, the senior boys’ soccer team also had a stellar run in their recent interschool campaign. With three impressive wins and one draw, the team has now qualified for the SSV Wyndham Division finals.

Their performance was marked by discipline, teamwork, and respect for the game, qualities we are proud to see in our students. We ask Allah (SWT) to grant them continued success, both on and off the field.

MashaAllah to all our students for their remarkable efforts. May they continue to grow in strength, character, and unity, bringing honour to themselves, their families, and the college.
